It does not look like too many GPSMap276Cx's have been sold, and I am not finding a thread for RHD.
The prompts/warnings (C:\Sounds) are not playing on my 276Cx.
Does the format have to be WAV or MP3?
Any way to easily test this? Create a way point (with the path to the voice prompt on C:\Sounds) at home with a Proximity. Export this to a GPX file, and then use the POI loader to push it to the GPS.
Switch on and then take a walk around the house? Will this work?

Re: RHD Voice Prompts on GPSMap276Cx
Forgot to mention... I upgraded the firmware from v4.3 to 4.6. I saw there was a fix for customised POI's.

The .wav files should work with the 276. Only a few models were mp3 capable and the 275 was not one of them.
Did you upload the RHD_TTS file to your unit or did you upload RHD data that you that tou setup yourself using the raw data downloaded form the site. Please give us more detail and we will troubleshoot the problem with you

Thanks Jan.
The RHD Zip file for the month is downloaded, and extracted to the respective folders for Borders, ASOD etc. which contains the various GPX files.
If I open a GPS file in BaseCamp, and go to the Notes tab and double-click on the WAV file, it plays. Hence the WAV files are in the correct location - C:\Sounds.
The RHD data is first removed from the GPS using the POI loader, and then the new set installed using the POI Loader again.

I take it that you use PoiLoader to upload the gpx file containing the compiled data to the 276?
Do you have sox.exe in the folder containing PoiLoader app? Sox combine the wav file with the data when PoiLoader converting the gpx file to gpi when uploading it to the PND
The sox.exe file should be copied to C:\Program Files (x86)\Garmin\POI Loader

Re: RHD Voice Prompts on GPSMap276Cx
I initially missed the SOX file and received an error from the POI loader.
SOX was installed, and the RHD data upload was completed.
