Mine is sitting on the  exact same spot, but my wiring is a mess. I'm looking for advise to reroute the wiring in a 2011 VW polo

I am using for 6m an Air Vent mount, I found it very good Idea , It keeps it close for operating and cool when the Aircon is On  , Currently on my Mitsubishi Triton, but used on Golf2 , and Peugeot ..
There is room for improvement thou-on the design:
It does not feet all Air Vent slots well, it suppose to "catch" behind that horizontal "ribs" on the air vent but some are wider ant cant reach the end, and if one over ties can break.. .Tieing up also is not that good, Is a bit shaky while driving on uneven road, comparing to the basic phone holder I have that just slides in the air vent"rib" and stays firm, No tie up needed.
With this "suggestions" for improvement still like it better than Window Mount and better if you don't want Dash adhesive mount.
At R399 at Makro is the best accessory I bought lately.

Regards
Nick
