Nuvi 3490 Problem

I updated the Nuvi with the new firmware today and all of a sudden it goes into a loop when booting. It shows "Loading Maps" for a few seconds and then the screen goes blank and then it tries to load the maps again. So it goes on.

I connected it to the computer to try and reinstall the firmware but the Nuvi does not even show up on the computer as connected.

Can someone please advise me how to correct this problem?

Because the Nuvi is New and under full warranty I guess it's a trip to GSA.

With this Nuvi after firmware download after you switch it back on you have to wait about 10 minutes before the software has finished doing it's thing.
It just displays the Copyright Message and nothing else. Later Software Loading appears with very small font. Later it reboots on it's own.

Mine updated without a problem. But I cannot see any difference so far.
