Waypoint categories

Gents, maybe I'm missing something, but the waypoints I have saved in Mapsource are all assigned to a category - from 1 through 16, I think.

When I access those same waypoints in Basecamp, no category. So the waypoints that 'belong' to a particular type of usage (e.g. quadbiking trails) are all included in the general pool of waypoints. A big step backwards, if there is no way to resolve this issue.

Doesn't seem like Basecamp is as useful and full-featured as Mapsource, IMHO...

Basecamp uses Lists and List folders instead of categories.

Right Click on My Collection (New List)

Agreed the Waypoint Management is not so good in BaseCamp.

So how would I get past this particular 'opportunity' , Joe?

The issues I see are this (categories of waypoint), and loading all the map tiles properly (easily and thoroughly) - Mapsource just seems to do those particular things better...

Other than that it's still a learning curve for me on Basecamp.

Any suggestions as to a workaround on 'converting' categories of waypoints, anybody?

Basecamp looks intriguing, but it's SUCH a PITA to have to go and change all my waypoints manually....

That is one of the reasons I still prefer MapSource.
