MapInstall says no maps installed on Nuvi1410

Evening chaps.
OK, still don't know why mapinstall says there are no maps installed for the 1410, but did as Dasilvarsa mentioned... used mapsource, selected the maps i wanted to install and sent them to the 1410... What do you know, checked the 1410 after the mapset transfer and 2012.2 is on the unit and working fine.

Basecamp does not appear to have this function or perhaps i missed it somewhere. My opinnion, mapsource still rocks...

Thanks guys for your help on this one, i was just about to go and visit the chaps at Garmin for assistance and an explanantion. Will wait and see what happens when the next mapset update comes out to see what happens with the 1410 then.

This is what the forum is for, Sharing experiences and assisting one another.

To install maps from Basecamp you need to connect the device.
Then Right Click on the Device or Memory Card (If installed)
Another menu opens up with something like (send Maps to Device)
Basecamp will then run Mapinstall.

So what Basecamp really does is reroute you to Mapinstall. May as well go to Mapinstall from starters.
