The site's worth

#1452

Post by fugglefeet »

Hi all,

I remember Joe at one stage providing me with a link to a website to determine the worth of our forum. Initially we didn't amount to much, due to there not being enough information about us. But things have changed and look what we are now worth.

Thanks Joe.

Hi all,

If a picture paints a thousand words ..... then I have 4000 words!!

If you ask http://www.ask.com.

If you ask http://www.bing.com.

If you ask http://www.lycos.com.

If you ask http://www.yahoo.com.

We have become pretty established with all the major search engines without much effort and word of mouth.

Thanks to all for that.

In 1 hour

#1538

Post by fugglefeet »

Hi all,

The unobtrusive and unassuming firewall watches diligently over the forum's server. In a 1 hour period, it has blocked 17 attempted hacks without even demanding a pay increase.

These are people that are trying to hack the forum with little to no success.

Downtime due to lightning damage.

#1569

Post by fugglefeet »

Hi all,

For those who wondered what happened to the forum. Well wonder no more! Due to a lightning storm yesterday in the greater Klerksdorp, Orkney, Stilfontein and Haartbeespoort area, the ADSL modem was struck by a surge that rendered the forum paralysed and unable to continue until a new modem was purchased and installed.

Thanking all in advance for their patience and understanding.

Hi all,

DDR2 empty 0 DIMM_2

==== On-Board Devices =====================================

And here is a pic indicating the OS being used:-

And here is a new feature that gives the last 5 posts, 5 members with the most posts and the 5 newest members that have joined, at a glance:-

Hopefully it should prove a bit faster than the old one.
