It's not worth to pay a Grand for Maps.
You can get a whole GPS + Maps for Life for that Price.
Garmap also has/had errors, Its just that Shorty could fix them quickly.
I had plenty routing errors with Garmap
Nuvi 3490LMT + Garmin Forerunner 35

Joe I think you misread the reason Phillip is looking at Garmap on a SD card. His nuvi has got CN maps loaded but he is unhappy with map accuracy therefor he is looking at options to get Garmap as an additional Map-set on his unit.
I fully agree with you that Garmap was not error free but we were lucky in that we had Shoty as a direct line to the Map Studio and that the Map data was compiled here locally. In addition to that Garmap setup a Beta testing Panel of GPS users to which new updates were released prior to the update anouncement to ensure trouble free releases and to iron out mayor problems.
Reporting City Navigator erros are done directly to Gamin Europe which in turn first look at what is reported and if deemed that it merits a change pass it onthe the data vendor, in this case Navteq. In my opinion this is the main reason for the lenthly delays in fixes and why some errors are ignored. See the responce to my reporting a map error through Base camp and draw your own conclutions.
