Hi,
my name's Lars and I'm from Heidelberg, Germany. I'm a student of electrical engineering with a focus on information and communication technology.
In my spare time I like to go swimming, kayaking, dancing, cycling and sometimes reading a book. The rest of my spare time I spend on my computer, technology and forums like this one.
I came to this forum due to an invitation by Shorty whom I know from the official TomTom Discussions forum where I'm active since September 2011 when I first had a problem with my device.
For navigation purposes I already used quite a few options. First was Nokia OVI maps on my old Nokia 5230 phone. Afterwards came a TomTom START² CE to be followed by a TT XL LIVE IQR Europe and a TT Start 60 Europe. Besides those PNDs I now also use some navigation apps on my Android smartphone. Those apps are Google Maps and navigation, CoPilot, navfree, TripAdvisor, Custom Maps and freeNavigator (using OSM).
