Hi guys,
I'm looking for a suction unit / mounting for the Tom Tom Go 630.
I've gone to most of the Cape Union Marts in Cape Town, Incredible Connections as well as even Rectron and they don't have it.
Can someone HERE assist me or guide me.
I know I can find stuff on Ebay etc, but now I'm worried about it actually "fitting" correctly which is what I've had while looking elsewhere.
At Incredible, they had this nice mounting unit, but it fit in such a way where it blocked the connection at the bottom completely (where you charge the unit) so that wasn't going to work.
Thanks guys!
PS: Tom Tom (the 0800 number) are actually useless, they couldn't help me at all - they didn't even try! and Facebook Tom Tom SA site, just as useless.

I'd just like to update this thread quickly!
I ordered (via Ebay.com) a suction unit etc (only cost me R100) but I still want those who can help to contact me.

Nick if you had been to Rectron and they couldn't help then that seems strange to me but then again they're essentially our local warehouse. There should be enough spares supply and repair facility though - I'll check with the Tom Tom office tomorrow - for info because it seems you're sorted. I'll get a check on that 0800 number too. Thanks for that report.

Re: Tom Tom Go 630
Hi,
@Nick: Please have a look at the TT products page under Mounts, Holders and Docks. There you should be able to find the relevant mount for your Go 630. I've added the URL below and below that one the link for the UK page where you can see that that mount is one for the Go 630.
SA product page: http://www.tomtom.com/en_za/products/ac ... CB.001.01/
UK product page: http://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/products/ac ... CB.001.01/

Regards
Lars.
edit: Edited the links in hope that it works now.

Re: Tom Tom Go 630
I guess it's not much good me saying that the local 0800 980 670 number works fine - I've tested from at least three 'directions' if one could call it that. However, I think where confusion can arise, and it did with me, is that the IVR doesn't appear to give a "For repairs/spares press x" so one with that need in mind would simply put down. The number is the last - number '5'
The reality though is that a choice of any of the alternatives provided will take you through to a person qualified to hear and advise on the phone anything of a repair or spares nature and/or refer internally; I simply hit '1'. Should the issue not be able to be resolved this way then your unit will be replaced.
Lars, who posted before, is a non-employee senior member of Tom Tom Discussions and thus imminently qualified in matters TT Units among other. He's a great guy too
What is strange though and I'll follow that up internally, his links give a 404 error but with the usual page detail. Hitting accessories brings you to the required page.
