Long standing members of the previous forum might recall that a few years back the forum was closed for about two days due a very severe spam attack.
It took the WebMaster and his cronies a long time to clean out the system and get it going again properly.

Thanks to all members for waiting patiently while the forum was being put in place, but I think that everyone will appreciate the fact that the creation of this forum came down on us like a ton of bricks.

Well, I will confess that if it wasn't for Frans' prodding, the idea that Sunday morning of our new forum wouldn't have materialised.

Jy sal bo aan jou "post" sien wat ek vir dasilvarsa verduidelik het aangaande nuwe lede. Ons vra asb. vir julle saamewerking en geduld, en so keer ons ook vir spammers wat ons forum sal wil probeer "hijack". MN het al vir my verduidelik dat dit 'n nagmerrie is om van die peste ontslae te raak. Die sisteem werk ook in die agtergrond om die forum te beskerm teem spammers. Ek sal 'n screen capture op sit om te wys dat die forum sisteem 'n internasionale databasis naslaan om te sien of nuwe lede moontlike spammers is volgens hulle IP adresse. Hoop die verduideliking help.

Evening chaps, must say the new forum look is great. Well done to the team. I had a problem trying to find the new forum though, i almost thought it had been banned or something. Started to get that lost feeling because the forum has always been helpful and friendly.

We had so little time to spread the word. The Forum was started on the Sunday and by Tuesday the old forum was terminated. I Am sure there are a lot of the old members still looking for us. It look like word and mouth is the best way to spread the word that we are still around and alive. Welcome to the fold Mav
