Managed to get it installed on my laptop but the download to the Nuvi keep terminating at 43% downloaded. The initial verdict is that some of the misclassified roads are back to the status of 2014.2.

Download mine to the PC and install to Base kamp. When open in basecamp, it ask to unlock. Connect Nuvi and it unlock map. Install the map to the Nuvi with Mapinstall after obtained the unlock from the garmin web site. So far no hick-ups

Jurie I found that when I install it from the laptop to a SD card using Mapsource that I lose the junction view function on the nuvi. I will redo mine using Mapinstall and see if it makes a difference. It could be either because I used Mapsource or installing it on a SD card or because it was not installed directly on the Nuvi. It would be nice to know because I have 5 units to update and It would save me using up a lot of bandwidth.

I did not notice the junction view this morning, because I did not pay special attention to it. I will check it this afternoon on my way back from Centurion.

Two suggestions.

1) Stick to Garmin Map Updater.
2) If using City Navigator, never ever select "Unpaved roads" in your avoidances..

It seems the problem is still there.
It installs to the Computer but not to the Nuvi.
I had a look at the log files and the problem seems to be with a file that is corrupt.
It would be helpful if this problem was reported to GSA.
They could then use their influence at Garmin International and get it sorted out on the Servers.
Any volunteers to report it to GSA.

I used Mapinstall to load it on the SD card with the same result. Then installed it on the internal memory still no Junction view. It seem that when you install the map from your computer that you loose the file where the data for junction view is stored. I will reload it directly later today.

Frans, why "never ever select "Unpaved roads" in your avoidances"? What happens if you do?

I think that is because it will avoid all the incorrectly labelled roads and take you the loooooooooooooong way round!
