The Meaning of the abrviation RHD

#2427

Post by Jan Horn »

One of the privileges of being on the admin side of the forum is the ability to see which forums visitors to the forum are looking at. I found it very intriguing that a lot of overseas vistors are look at topics in the RHD forum. I looked RHD up in Wilkipedia and here is what is the result.

RHD may refer to:
Rabbit haemorrhagic disease, a disease caused by the Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus
Red Hand Defenders, an illegal paramilitary organisation in Northern Ireland
"Remove hidden data" tool in Microsoft Office Word
Right-hand drive, where a car's steering wheel is mounted on the right side of the cabin. Most often used in countries where cars are driven on the left side of the road.
Right hemisphere brain damage
Robbery Homicide Division, an American TV series starring Tom Sizemore
Rheumatic fever, Rheumatic Heart Disease
Rhesus blood group system (Rh) - Blood can be either RhD positive or RhD negative
Redheadday A Dutch summer festival dedicated to people with red hair and the colour red.
Right Here (Departed), a song by singer Brandy Norwood
Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway in Kent, England
Random House Webster's Unabridged Dictionary

Now which one were they looking for?

Maybe we should apply to Wikipedia to have our acronym for Road Hazard Data included in the list of abbreviations

Am I mistaken or can you add information to Wikipedia? There is an edit icon at the top of the page.

Do not always trust what is to be found on Wikipedia! I was checking something on Google the other day, and a link found to a wiki site was definitely incorrect.
As far as I know, it is a community driven site, where a lot of the information is unsubstantiated data or facts!

(I checked how many incisors bovines have. I know for a fact that they only have eight on the lower jaw. One site said they have six!)

Hi Jan,

I think this image answers your question:-

So we can go add our acronym and get some mileage out of it.

How about:

Red Herring Day - let's say a day wasted following incorrect coordinates on a GPS.

or

Red Herring Deal - buying the wrong GPS for your requirements.

or

Red Hot Deal - getting a Montana at the old price in these times of super-inflation.

Maybe even

Randy Humpty Dumpty - Chocolate Easter Egg... ;)
