Hi Swannie,
Post us the pics of the snow. About the touchscreens, well get a ballerina to stand on her toes with a rubber-ended pencil between them, while holding an elephant in mid-air. Can't guarantee it will work, but you'll have a new GPSr after that expediton.

The 3790 uses a special touch screen, Needs to sense your skin.
The cheaper Nuvi's can be operated with gloves on.
Sometimes less is more

The Z660 touch screen works far better with gloves on - fortunately...
