mentioning the 'other' brand

I presume, even although you've declared UDI, you still only represent the interests of Garmin, and that you forbid or discourage discussions about TT devices and maps.

Hi Robert,

Long story short. We cannot use trademarks and/or brand names in the website's name or description, as this would be a trademark and/or brand name violation by law. We have had to opt for a more generic name and that has now given us latitude to open up the forum for other brands too. If you are up to the task of being a moderator for a Tom-Tom GPS forum, we will consider such and would welcome your assistance there. Please give this some thought. I'm sure Metro Nomad would concur.

I believe that as this forum is not solely associated with one brand, as the Garmap forum was, it will make a positive contribution towards the promotion of responsible and safe motoring by users of all GPS brands. In addition, it will meet the needs of the broader GPS user community; a GPS receiver is a versatile tool that does a lot more than just give directions. A lot of people don't realise this. Well done to the team - it's good to see some familiar names.
