Jan, the following from Mr GPS: "Shaun you have a MGRS co-ord which is accurate to only 100m so you by all rights will not be able to get a better accuracy to decimals.This was good enough in our border days and what we could get from a 1:50 000. At a push if you know the exact spot 50m. A 13 figure grid referance is the modern format accurate to 1m called UTM (normally a GPS reading which will be approx 3 to5 m). Johan at a quick look yours could be a geographical co-ord but in the format of deg and decimals of degrees."
So it looks like the correct coordinate is S17.92404621 E12.9325307.
