Hi Robert, thanks for the reply. There is another way of doing this, ie…..on your pc desktop, right click on any open area on the desktop and select, create New Folder..... Rename this folder to T4A...now connect the unit to your pc, and open the Garmin Drive, in, This Computer, open the Garmin Poi File, and select ALL 2019.3 related T4A files, or copy them one by one into your New Folder, once the files are copied there , delete ALL T4A files on the unit.....close everything, and wella, all done. This way you don't have to download the Map set again. If you need to install T4A's again, for 2019.3, simply hook up your unit to the pc, copy and paste ALL 2019.3 T4A's, back into the Garmin Poi Folder. One thing to remember, is that T4A Poi's is NOT transferrable to another unit, as they are related to the unit ID. As I stated earlier, once there is a New Map Update, this procedure will have to be done again, if needed, also make sure that previous "left overs" of other T4A's files are deleted on the unit's Poi Folder, otherwise there might be a conflict. Please remember, BY REMOVING INTERNAL FILES FROM YOUR UNIT, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND IF SOMETHING DOES GO WRONG, WE CAN'T BE KEPT RESPOSIBLE .

Hi Philip,
Thanks for the feed back I have created a T4 folder but was wondering if something went wrong with file on the PC or the file was lost and I want to put it back would a reinstall work that's why I tried a reinstall, as you can see on the screenshot those T4 icons are big and when you get in the city its worse the guys from tracks4africa said T4 belongs to Garmin and they would take it up with garmin and then give me feed back as soon as I get it i will post it on the forum

I had to travel to Bloemfontein today. On the Nuvi 52 the T3A icons are acceptable but I prefer to set map display to Track Up that way the display on the Nuvi is always orientated to the direction the vehicle is traveling in making it easier for me to navigate.
Switching to 3D increased the icon size slightly but not to what is shown in Roberts screen shots. So it seem that the different model lare effected differently by this

Ek nou al drie die views gebruik en dit bly die selfde maar op my Nuvi 2497 LMT is die icons klein maar op die Garmin 51 LMT-S drive assist is dit 'n ander storie ek sluit al drie views se screenshot in.

Hi Robert....soos voorheen gese is, as jy nie hou van die "T4A files" op die verskillende eenhede nie, het jy nog die keuse om hulle te verwyder, soos beskryf...ek weet nie of Garmin die T4A's icons sal afhaal van die kaart nie...ons sal maar moet wag en sien.

Ek wou net vir Jan wys dat op die garmin 51 LMT-S Drive assist maak nie saak hoe jy daar na kyk dit verander nie. Die tracks4africa is ook baie on akurat as jy na hulle inligting kyk vernaam in plekke soos die Kruger Wildtuin wys hulle motorfiets vriendelik, maar jy mag nie met 'n motorfiets daar ry nie dis verbode en misleidend vir toeriste wat die wildtuin besoek

Hi Robert.. jy is reg....maar ek glo dat T4A in ander dele van die wereld ook nie op standaard is met mbt. " poi''s" nie...gelukkig is daar slim fone .....en ek mag verkeerd wees, maar min mense maak nog gebruik van gps'se .. soo...ek hou maar by my Nuvi en dit is dit.

Dankie vir die inligting Robert. Ja die icons is nie aanvaarbaar soos dit vertoon op die 51 Drive Assist nie. Dit maak groot dele van die kaart toe en dit is hinderlik. Het jy probeer om rond te speel met die verskillende map "layers" daar is `n opsie om te kies wat jy wil sien op die display. Hier is `n wat die gebruikers handboek se

Ek het dit probeer maar dit bly daar ek het tracks4africa gekontak die bestuurder Johan se ek moet dit van die POI delete hy sal Garmin kontak hulle het op 51 LMT-S ook probeer maar kry dit nie reg sodra hulle van garmin hoor sal hulle my terug voering gee
