Lawsuit questions Garmin's 'lifetime' maps

#5053

Post by Phillip Coetser »

Hi all, a federal class action suit has been filed against Garmin Ltd.,and I quote...... alleging misleading advertisement to sell its portable navigational devices.
The suit, filed behalf of Francis McVetty in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges the Olathe-based company used promises of “Free Lifetime Maps and Traffic” – through overly restrictive terms and conditions – to get consumers to purchase the product. But the actual terms and conditions from the company place restrictions on the offer.(https://www.bizjournals.com/kansascity/ ... -maps.html)

Regards.
