BMW Navigator iv

Hi.
Can anybody give advice my son bought a BMW Motorbike itt came with a BMW Navigator iv he updated the software but it has 2010.10 version of CN maps installed, must he buy a new map set and where does it store the map on internal or SD card.

Hi Jan,
Hy het Garmin express gebruik maar net die sagte ware is opgedateer maar nerens op garmin express wys daar 'n boodskap of plek wat wys watter weergawe van CN maps op is nie ook nie 'n plek wat wys waar jy die kaart kan opdateer nie, sal kyk na wat jy my gestuur het miskien sien ek ets daar, maar dankie vir die info.

Wat basies op neerkom is `n preloaded CN kaart het lewenlank updates. Indien die eemheid sonder kaarte verkoop is moet mens betaal vir die update.

Hi Robert,

I may be wrong here, but rule of thumb with Garmin products is Lifetime = 10 years.
So if the mapset is version 2010.1, it came out in 2009, maybe even last quarter of 2008.

Is it NuMaps currently on the device or City Navigator Lifetime Maps?
NuMaps you only get 1 free update within 60 days of activating the map. ( I think )

Best is to contact BMW dealership.
( Otherwise go visit him and bring the unit back up here )
