Thanks to Garmin. With the latest map update, the R512 near Hartebeespoort dam in North West, has been corrected as I reported it to them in April this year.

A new road Martin Khuno street opened about 7 years ago on the N12 which I reported and every year since then as at last put on this update but KFC & Debonairs pizza S26 50 33.4 E26 42 32.0 is still there somewhere in the veld there are no turn off roads on the west side of Martin Khuno street

Hi Robert,
When Garmap SA were in control of SA Streetmaps everything, went well. With the Garmin takeover, this is absolutly not the case. Ekuhuruleni is currently renaming 44 street names and major intersections. I wonder how long it will take Garmin to update their CNSA maps.

Hi Robert, and once again, City Navigator Southern Africa 2022.20 is not up to date . With reference to the road mentioned in your post, nl. Martin Khuno street, which is still named that way in CNSA 2022.20, it is now called Matlosana Mall Road according to Google maps. No wonder that more and more people are making use of various map applications, including Google maps on their smartphones.

Hi Philip In Stilfontein Hartebeesfontein rd in 1996 The road name changed from the Circle at Stilfontein road and Hartebeesfontein rd east changed to
Ruth First rd I travel that road every day our Church is is 71 Ruth First, In September our church had a conference there Reverends from all of the country came and could not find the church I had to go out 18 times to fetch them because they were lost all those using google maps got lost. I sent in a report today asking them do they know where South Africa or Stilfontein is and gave them our church address and asked them to try and find it using our church website, so we will see what happens

Hi Robert.
A lot of people are using Whatsapp to communicate on a daily basis. So.....here is some info on how to send a pin of your location via whatsapp to your contacts.....

Share your live location
* Enable location permissions for WhatsApp in your phone's Settings > Apps & notifications > Advanced > App permissions > Location > turn on WhatsApp.
* Alternatively, if you recently opened WhatsApp, you can go to your phone's Settings > Apps & notifications > WhatsApp > Permissions > turn on Location.
* Open an individual or group chat. Click on the attachment icon.
* Location > Share live location.
Select the length of time you'd like to share your live location. Your live location will stop being shared after the selected amount of time.
Optionally, add a comment.
