Good evening all,

Sorry that I have been an absent "landlord". But I am equally shocked and saddened by the loss of one of our forum stalwarts. To think that when I got egged on by both Frans and Jan to start this forum around 13 years ago, I didn't see this day coming. Having had the opportunity to meet him in person, was something else. When we first spoke over the phone, his voice sounded big. When we met for the first time along with Frans, he was physically big. And as time went on, his persona matched him. Big. The void he left after his passing is also big.

Please convey my condolences to his wife and family.

He will be missed.

To my regret I have not been active on the forum for a few years. Today whilst clearing out old emails I found an email that somehow I had missed before regarding a reply to a post I had made all those years ago.

I was shocked to read about Jan's passing. Jan & I met over 40 years ago after I bought a Gypsey 3C Caravan and joined the local Caravan Club, of which Jan was Chairman. Condolences to Alfie and the gamily.

RIP Jan, you were a good friend.
