Dankie Frans

Yes it would be interresting to see if mine is the only one.

It is currently in "Nuvi" mode, but have checked and does not make a difference.

Hi

Have you
updated your firmware to check if it makes a difference?
Not all changes in Firmware are necessarily listed under Change History and some weird behaviour of a unit sometimes stop after doing an update.

EDIT:
After reading the topic again I realised that my answer is probably not aimed at the question, but it won't hurt updating your Firmware in any case...

Might be a good excuse with the 4.40 version now released.

Hi Derick

Have you had a chance to look at your 600 to see if you get the same?

The Fixed Camera POI and other POI have been moved slightly "OFF ROAD" in order to make them Directional.(This is intentional.)
The Technique seems to work fine on certain Nuvi Models using Garmap SSA Maps.
Unfortunately the technique sometimes fails on City Navigator Maps and on certain Garmin GPS Models.
You might get 3 or 4 failures per 100 POI, which is an acceptable error rate.

The error Hannes points to is the misalignment of the warning text and the red background inside the banner rectangle. Both should move to the left of the rectangle, and the text actually falls "off" to the righthand of the banner.

Hi Hannes,

I have not seen this on my Montana 600 yet.

I have seen some firmware fixes has been released related to text. Has your unit been updated?

Look like a firmware problem to me. The position of the RHD relative to the road should not have any influence of where the text is displayed on the screen or the red banner. In fact there are 2 misalignment's here, the red banner is central to the screen which is how I think it should be. The text is not aligned to the red banner but has been moved to the right while background rectangular has been moved to the left of the banner. :?:

Hi Derick

Thanks, I have just loaded the latest v4.6 and was very exited when i read the update - but the exitement was short lived!

I ran in demo mode and it is still the same.

Hi Jan

Yes i am also confidnt that it must be some firmware issue, but Garmin did email their HQ, but i have had no feedback in more than a month now.

Hi Guys

I have found the problem and how to solve it temporarily.

1. Settings
2. Appearance
3. Landscape controls - Left (if you choose right as in my case the alignment goes out)

Now to see how I can get Garmin to fix the little problem..... any ideas?
