HERE Maps

Garmin, are using HERE Map sets on ALL their units, for navigational purposes, which is outdated. The latest map update on one of my units was 742Mb, and I wonder what is updated with each map set.
Reason I'm saying that HERE maps are outdated, is self explanatory below.
Last weekend I took a trip to the most famous "harties dam" in North West, hooked up the Gps to the car system,....not that I needed the Gps, but nevertheless, travelling on the R512, the Gps showed I'm travelling in an area with no road....now that surprised me, because this road is a double lane from South to North, and North to South.
Google maps, and Windows 10 maps are up to date, so I rest my case.....

Hi Phillip I put a new street in Here maps which was accepted and would be in the latest update that was three years ago, i was given a e-mail of a person for Here maps South Africa sent an e-mail said she will come back to me two years still waiting, sent an e-mail to Garmin got the following rereply:
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.

I’ll work on it. I can see your changes in HERE’s Map Creator, but they didn’t fold them into their release data. The reason I say that is their app, HERE WeGo, doesn’t have it, either. That’s why we aren’t getting it. I’ll see what I can do to kick it in the pants.

Hi Robert, further to the above topic, I've tried at the Map Creator web page to report this error, but I've given up to do so. What a waste of time. According to the web page info, at Web Creator web page, Firefox, or Chrome web browsers works best. I'm using the Opera browser. So, we will have to live with this error for years to come.
The design engineers at Google maps are on the "ball" with their map designs, but I can't say the same about HERE map designers.

Hi Philip, I agree with you when I started editing in Here maps I was 11000 on the rating list and now I am 5695 on the world rating and43rd on the South African rating,
I ran through my edits there are edits from 2017 that have not been checked and some that have been approved and still not on the maps, I feel I is a waste of time, but I will still try I found the e-mail address of Garmin CEO and I am going to send him a mail and see what happens.

Hi Robert, we are not alone in this dreadful saga...I noted the same problem on another Gps forum where members tried to report map errors to HERE maps, which also proved futile
I wonder how many other map errors exists on the CNSA 2021.3 map set, and we will not know, because there is no feed back on the forum about anything from members....sad but true.

Hi all, for info. Feedback on my post no: 5328, with regards to the newly upgraded road R512, in North West, which I reported to Garmin International, on the 21st of March, and yesterday I've received a reply from them by email:

Hello,
Our data provider has this road updated on their end. Once we receive the updated data these changes will be reflected in a future City Navigator product for South Africa.
