The Johannesburg Metro Police (JMPD) confirmed in a tweet that speed cameras are back online after arresting seven motorists for speeding on New Year’s Day. Moreover, as reported by City Press, Tshwane Metro Police Department spokesperson Isaac Mahamba confirmed that the metro’s speed cameras are also now working – without giving any further information.
