Hi
I bought a Nuvi 2460 over a year ago. On the trip down to Durban and around etc. it did not have any problems. Since updating the mapsets (and in all likelihood the firmware too); over the course of 2012, i have had problems with the unit "forgetting" to navigate. It will still display movement of the vehicle and intersections etc. but at the sop of the screen it would say "Continue to N17" in this instance. There is a small area where I am "off the map" so to speak, but his is 500m at most. I first tried to display less information, which seemed to work, but have restored factory defaults. I need to see if this has worked for my outbound journey some time.
My previous GPS, NUVI 310, seemed to handle being "off road" for kilomoeters on end, until you came to an exisiting road.
Has anyone else experienced such problems?
thanks
Kenneth

Re: Nuvi 2460LT
Same story here! Also 2460LT with 310 as older unit!
If a start a navigation off road, will display "calculating 80%" for ages, even once I am on existing roads. Have to reboot to be able to navigate again, even trying to "Stop" navigating does not help!
Just never bothered me enough to report, as I usually know the route any-way!
