Safari Stew

#1434

Post by Keith »

This old favourite is always a crowd pleaser!

Rince and pat dry 1 medium to large elephant

Season with;
60 buckets salt
40 buckets course ground black pepper

Add;
1500 chopped onions
1 truckload chopped carrots
1 truckload diced potatoes
3000 peeled tomatoes (fresh or canned)
10 barrels of elephant stock (or water)
50 buckets minced garlic

For that special touch of extra flavour add;
1 bay leaf

Add the secret ingredient;
25 smoked warthogs

Season to taste with salt, pepper, hot pepper sauce and simmer for 4-days.

Feeds 2000.

I managed to get the safari stew started and the aroma of the cooking elephant travelled far and wide, calling all hungry men, women, boys and girls. The problem was that I got arrested for disturbing the peace and for organising a public gathering without a permit to do so. When the police tried to arrest the hungry visitors, they got riotous and proceeded to use the warthog thighs to fend off the police, in an attempt to keep them away from the stew. No-one was seriously hurt, except a few bruised egos on the part of some of the officers, who thought this was a lot of ham.

:lol: :lol: :lol:

P.S. I added 1 whole clove and it also enhanced the flavour immensely. My wife told me this while I was held in the police cells awaiting my court appearance.
I was a parent with my first child. I'm now a referee now that I have two children.
