It's Advisable to update NOW so when Maps 2014.10 is released (soon) your firmware is up to date.

Works Fine on my 3490
It improves loading of Routes(Trips) from BaseCamp (not so many lost waypoints)
Loaded on 22 April
After downloading, on first boot it takes very long at the Garmin Logo, Seems like the Nuvi is hanging, It is not hanging, just wait !!
Don't switch off the Nuvi,
Full Battery is needed as usual.

New Feature with Firmware 7.90 (Applies to all units that use this firmware Level not only 34xx/35xx)

Custom POI's with Proximity Alerts are now "Notified on the Screen with a white box"
