More than one url/link on existing poi

Hi guys, Phillip. Is there a program, or a method available for linking more than one image to an existing poi? Currently, basecamp, mapsource only allows one link, being either a sound file or a image. Help with this would be appreciated, thanks.

Yes Phillip it could be done. Here are the instructions written for Tour guides which adds both audio and a image file for the a Poi for the Nuvi 200 (on steroids) that someone wrote a long time ago. I am sure that it will work on the current Nuvi models.

Hi Jan thanks for the reply. I do have this doc. but this is a basic method of adding one image link to an existing poi. If you add multiple photos to the link' you've got to select one link to show the image on the gps, not all the images will show on the gps when opened, that's why I wondered if there is another program that allows multiple image uploads so that the images will show up on the gps

I don't think it is possible but a work around could be to combine say 4 photos in one (thumbnails) In a write-up I have read it states that you can add a combination of three parameters. Sound Icon and image .wav .jpeg and .bmp So it may be possible to add a extra photo in .bmp format but size may be a problem

Hi Jan, took me a while to sort out this lot. Mapsource as we know, no longer have support from Garmin, so Mapsource is only a utility mapset to plan routes etc. and does not support the options available in basecamp, therefore using basecamp you can send poi's to the gps. In basecamp, we can upload images to a already created poi by opening basecamp, importing poi's from connected gps, right clicking on a poi, double clicking the poi icon, (refer to attached uploaded images) and then open notes tab, and at the bottom you can a add file link,or a web link being an image or waf. file I've loaded three images to a specific poi on the notes tab and it worked. On the notes jpeg, I've uploaded, only one image appears, but it looks like it's working. The pdf document you've supplied with your previous post only applies to mapsource.
